Video Tour Of My Makeup Studio

I'm a big fan of watching makeup tutorials on YouTube and love many of the amazing beauty gurus that teach their techniques and tricks of the trade to everyone. I've had my own Channel since 2007 for organizing my favorite videos and subscribed to at least 3 dozen makeup artists and beauty bloggers, each with their own special take on video blogging also known as "vlogging". 

So with the encouragement of friends and a few social media connections, I finally picked up the video camera and did it! It took me a few false starts but I had to learn to speak clearly, have good lighting and give some details about what I was showing. The editing in Windows Movie Maker was tricky. I still have to get the hang of editing a video clip although making a slideshow, like the one I did for The Makeup Show, was so much easier. I kept thinking to myself that if some of these teens and unusual characters that I've seen can do it then so can I, haha.

As of today, my Channel has received over 4,000 views and my TMS slideshow video has gotten to the 500 mark which is really cool. Makes me feel appreciated for my efforts and inspires me to do more on my own instead of just collecting videos from others. Being that I focus on Motives there are some nuances that can use some explaining or showcasing too, just like how I see other people talking it up about the other top selling makeup brands.  

Please note that this studio set up and accumulation of product has taken me a few years and because I went for trainer I had to have the entire collection. Many new makeup artists and consultants start off with a Pro Palette kit and a few key items to get started. Thankfully that is now available in a Starter Kit for newbies which is more complete than palettes alone or trend kits that don't offer a "full face" of makeup for effective demos.
