Summer Nail Color With Motives Nail Candy

I love color and I certainly appreciate a beautiful set of nails but I'm no nail tech or maniac when it comes to keeping my own nails. I like a slightly rounded nail that's shorter than someone with tips. When Motives launched Nail Candy I was so thrilled because now I feel like I can be all "Motives Coordinated" with makeup and nail color.

Thanks to my new camera and Droid I've remembered to take a few pictures of my creations. I recently bought some pro tools for making dots and fine lines so I plan to post more creative nail art as I practice. My one ring finger is the nail that ends up getting some decal artwork or rhinestone decoration. The nail trend around my area has been to either alternate nail colors or just do the ring finger in one different coordinating color. I have yet to try the self-made ombre' tones and personally favor the regular look of all one color with one having the art.

So here are some photos:
First some Motives Cuticle Oil (not pictured) then the Base Coat and a layer of I'm Not Really An Angel (white)



Then two coats of Laguna Beach (Nevermind my puffy fingers LOL)



I've noticed that Laguna Beach is more Aqua-Green without the white layer underneath. I like this bold blue!



Just need to clean up and apply that Quick Dri so that it didn't get all messed up! Hope you enjoyed the photos Next I will play with some layers of Crackle Polish & Motives!!
