YouTube Video Of Motives At The Makeup Show NYC 2011
What an amazing and inspiring event! If you ever get the chance definitely get over to The Makeup Show in a major city near you. It was two days of glam & glitter, celebrity makeup artists, lectures, workshops, beauty bloggers, YouTube gurus and shopping for makeup, brushes, tools while networking.
I am so overjoyed that my colleague Brenda Ramos Cardona, a trainer from Staten Island, booked the event. The last time we were there in 2009 when the re-branding and reformulation of the Motives line was kind of new it wasn't very busy for us, but now that everyone's heard of it they want product and info! Our opening greeting would sometimes be to ask if they had heard of Motives by Loren Ridinger before and we had about half of them acknowledge that they did somehow.
It was a whirlwind between me & Brenda of information dispensing and answering questions. About a dozen press kits were handed out so there should be a bunch of news coming out soon. We had one other helper, Natalie, a makeup artist that was evaluating the line and now wants to sign in 100%. haha I'm so thankful that she was there Sunday which was the busiest of the two days with an endless stream of people. We had no time to eat, browse, shop around or even Twitter!! I'm sure that if I didn't take those photos early before the show started that I would've totally forgotten.
