Gearing Up For "TheMakeupShow" 2011 in NYC With Motives
The big beauty event is only six days away! I'm so excited to be invited back to co-host the Motives by Loren Ridinger booth at the pro MUA only tradeshow next weekend. It's at the Metropolitan Pavillion down on 18th Street and run by The Powder Group as "The Makeup Show" also known as "TMS" in several major US cities.
My friend Brenda, an active MCT (Motives Certified Trainer) based in Staten Island, surprised me with the news about booking the event on her own. She had done it in 2009 when there were many more trainers in NY and made it a team effort. As it stands now, there are less than a handful that still qualify in the area. I'm not totally sure who else will be working the Motives booth at TMS besides me and her. I just know that we'll have a ton of MUA's to speak to about the new Pro Artist program!
I've cleaned up my consultant kit and got new lucite palettes since my old ones were so scratched up from being used. I also plan to bring some stock but I don't keep much of that. I order what I need to keep it fresh from the warehouse. Stop by if you go to the show. More to share soon!!
