My Business Goals And Plans, So Far
I've been busy ripping out photos from magazines and jotting down ideas to create a new Vision Board while recuperating from a bad cold that's taken two weeks out of my life. Never had that happen before but I guess it's because I am stressed out. It's been a few years since I made my last board and this downtime gave me the opportunity, besides I definitely need a fresh new one. I did make a online one earlier this year at Oprah.com which was fun and I saved the link for it on my desktop, still it's not on a wall where I could see it all the time. I like this advice on making a board, it's similar to how I made my first one.
A few things I want to do are beauty related, of course. Mainly I want to go to some more pro artist makeup classes for skill building and IBSnewyork is in March with only one that I want to take there along with two or three business classes that are included in the ticket. I also plan to go to TheMakeupShow NYC this Spring, I missed both shows last year and regretted not making an extra effort to attend. And there are a few local Pro MUA's that teach technique that I really want to try and I also want to investigate getting my esthetic's license and check out a few cosmetology schools that are local.
I also plan to do more Social Media Coaching and am creating a PowerPoint presentation for seminars. It's more of a Social Media Basics for Do-It-Yourself-ers. I see a big need for local small business owners and professionals that want to jump into the arena but don't know what to do. If I can explain some of the terminology and marketing strategies to them in a easy to understand format, which I am good at, then I know I can host a few seminars at hotels. I think two a quarter would be sufficient. One beginner, one for the slightly more advanced with a focus on tools....but I also need business cards and a new LLC.
And once the integration of Market America and Shop.com is ready for the world, I am quite sure that my UnFranchise business will take off with a big growth spurt too. Even as I continue work the Motives angle with events and beauty professionals, the advancements of the company's internet presence will make for a busy schedule of meetings and partnerships. I'm also very excited about the news of corporate doing a Blitz Tour again in March with more of a focus on JR sharing his visionary concepts and leaving the details to the field to follow up with.
So I'm reading a book I got from a senior partner about self talk and marking all the dates I can in my new planner and Google Calendar for the year ahead. Right now I have some serious concerns about a few things in my life, don't worry my health is good as is my family, but some impending situations are looming ahead that need harsh decisions. This is stressing me out on many levels but I am truly looking forward to resolution and some changes that will result. I believe that having the right mindset will get me through it all, so perhaps this self talk book has come at a great time. Think I'll go take in another chapter now....
