All Kinds of Predictions for the Year 2011
There are truly all kinds of predictions for the year ahead right now. I've always been a fan of reading both metaphysical forecasts and economic projections but now a new player has shown up on the radar and that is the plethora of Social Media predictions.
Of course, Mashable and Social Media Today are spearheading that trend as news aggregators. It's still quite amazing to me how influential Social Media has become to every industry in all forms of marketing and publicity. Most of the time SM's free services, tools and apps are utilized but knowing what to do is where the value of education, or paying someone comes in, since it can be time consuming or worse yet, ineffectual and spam-like. In the coming year I think Social Media will continue to rock the world by connecting people and brands with their fans with Facebook & Twitter being the best ones to focus energy on. Perhaps the evolution of tools for 3G & 4G will be what takes it to the next level.
As for metaphysical forecasts for 2011 an overall theme of shifting energy and change is ahead. In astrology the stars can illustrate this and in Chinese Feng Shui it will be the Year of the Metal or Golden Rabbit which is a combination of overcoming obstacles and strategizing. There is luck there for the people that are prepared and can reap what they've sown or more self-reliant but even without metaphysics most of us can already tell that this is what is needed for changing our global issues.
For business, there's really no telling where the markets will go, unemployment isn't getting better anytime soon (I've heard that the true number more like 23% unemployed) and with more WikiLeaks in the works, who knows what will be revealed about the banks and world governments next. In general, a slow recovery seems likely so well planned investing with limited risk-taking while becoming more educated about our own personal financial futures is the way to go.
There are plenty of businesses out there thriving in this economy but the challenge is to find them or turn those opportunities into ones that we can use to move our own lives forward. I strongly believe in the saying that "Nothing happens until something is sold" and with consumer confidence still weak, it is vital that people find a better way to find/buy what they want and MA's Paid To Shop & new Shop.com acquisition will give the right incentives to reward customers and the entrepreneurs that service them once the merger is complete.
My thoughts: I love the idea of Freedom being a new status symbol. It's like the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University theme of "living like no one else, so that you can live like no one else" meaning: owe nothing to no one and prepare for your own financial future. Partnering up with others from varying backgrounds, professions and markets via Network Marketing, and more specifically the Market America UnFranchise and Shop.com integration, will be the key to success in 2011!
