New Holiday Release Motives Products & Review

These new Motives items came out just before Thanksgiving and I had hoped to make this post earlier but the holiday took up my attention and here we are almost mid-December! It's taken me a few days to try the new product anyhow and I've had to learn how to use the more recently released loose glitter eye shadows so I definitely needed the extra time. Generally I'm not a fan of loose powders because glitter gets everywhere but these pots are way too pretty not to play with especially at holiday time.

I had quickly ordered the new Makeup Mirror and Professional Nail Grooming kit along with the six Lip Boost lipsticks, that come in some very doable neutrals, when they were announced and I always favor the deeper pinks in a more plumy-berry tone so I was happy to see one called "Raw" among the grouping. They are smooth and creamy like the regular Motives Rich Formula Lipsticks and now there's a second portable High Definition Mirror, that I still have to get. The mirror is in a plush leather-like cover that folds like a tri-fold wallet and fits perfectly into my makeup box.

I took these photos when the delivery first came, before I scraped off some samples to try the colors on.

I still have to find out how they "boost" the lips but I did notice a fuller feeling but not as noticeable as the Motives Lip Plumper gloss. That stuff tingles and feels like you kissed on a strong mint, the Lip Boost was gentler. The mirror is light and thin yet the case is nicely tailored enough to make a great gift. I really like the new Professional  Nail CARE kit, not to be confused with the Professional Nail GROOMING Kit, which is also well crafted and in a stylish clamshell. By the way, the 7pc. Nail CARE kit has one clipper and cuticle nipper while the 8pc. GROOMER has 3 pair of clippers in a zippered case, all of the tools are made of stainless steel and can be easily sterilized. They are both regularly priced at $59.95 and are going for $29.95 for a limited time.

I'll have to take a picture of a few of the brand new Motives loose glitter pots, some were on back order and I didn't realize we needed the Glitter Stick for application so I will check them out and make another post with how to use those.
