Winter Came Early But My Christmas Shopping Is Late
What is it about gift shopping that makes me find more stuff that I like than presents for my loved ones? LOL I've been clicking all over the web for Hot Deals with the latest discounts and checking emails for special offers from my favorite retailers. Still I have Sooo much shopping to get done! Thank goodness the MA webportal has 3500+ merchants all under one virtual roof!
The extra maCashback savings is also a good incentive to shop the web with MA besides the Get Paid To Shop aspect for using the portal. I'm always logged in as a Preferred Customer so that any Search I do gets results and related ads that can also convert into income. Everyone should learn how to get paid for their purchases, if your going to buy it somewhere so why not at one site with the latest technology from Microsoft and Google? After this year's holiday season I believe MA will jump from #54 up to a top 20 on the Internet Retailer list for 2010's best website companies.
I tried going to the local mall with my girls to be festive and ended up buying stuff for them. They turned into early presents that were on my gift list but still it's not going under the tree, nor did we accomplish our goal to nail down a bunch of gifts, only a few. I really do much better shopping online, with no distractions, like pretzels or crafter tables set up with unique items I never knew existed like flattened glass bottles made into bottle opener plaques.
What's worse is when I walk to the other side of the mall and remember that the item I want is back at the other end of the mall, and usually on another level! Have you ever done that and then forget when you do go back? And I don't know how those Black Friday & One Day Sale shoppers do it but I abhor standing on long lines, especially with my kids in tow. Internet shopping rocks!
Time to make a checklist! I usually keep a notepad with names with notations for gift ideas and check off ones that I did get but this year the task has escaped me. My girls are also more nosy this year. I have a few papers with notes and must consolidate them. I never liked Excel spreadsheets or making a Word Document, writing it down with a real pen is how I think best.
There are only twelve more shopping days 'til Christmas!! Hanukkah is over now so my Jewish friends and family members are done with their festivities. We're just getting started!! Today we put our lights and inflatable decorations outside, including a Lowe's NASCAR #48 car with snowman pit crew, and set up the tree which some friends came over to help decorate. Gotta get serious and make some progress this week. I wonder what kind of holiday sales we'll see now & who still has free shipping?
What do you do to keep track of gift giving?
