Its A Beautiful Weekend of Makeup
Its late Saturday night, the weather is gorgeous and I'm just about ready for tomorrow's Motives Level II class. I've got a full class and rearranged the training room again. We'll see how a u-shape set up works and I had the cherrywood desk that's been in the way moved against the wall. Much more room now.
Today I took in an Continuing Education class at the local community college. I've been wanting to take this particular one on color analysis for almost three years now, there was always something else planned whenever I got the registration so this time I commited to it and really liked the trainer so I'm hoping to register for one more class of hers. I also got to know a little bit about her training at other locations and even for Avon & MaryKay.
I noticed that she had a BeautiControl kit, which is another direct sales company but she wasn't tooting her horn about it so maybe she's not happy with them. Each of the students had a turn in the chair for a color analysis with drapes of warm & cool colors. (I know I have a box of those somewhere & now I want to use them!!) All of us learned a lot about color for hair, clothing & makeup so it was more about your total image.
Everytime I learn something from somewhere I incorporate it into what I do for some reason. Maybe it has to do with the learning cycle of teaching someone else what you know to complete that cycle. I like to study from various resources and it shows in my trainings & consults. Knowledge is power & it truly does give you more to draw on when the time comes to implement and I really should give myself a little more credit for how far I've come.
