MA Beta Testing the Digital Newsstand With Free Demos
I noticed a few days ago, but didn't blog it, that Market America has the Digital NewsStand live on the webportal. Its in Beta mode so there are only a few magazines to browse. I tried it think its pretty cool. I get a few trade magazines in digital format and even a few stores have weekly circulars available like this and I use them frequently so I just hope that some of the publications I use will be available sometime in the near future. Imagine getting paid to read!!
There's probably going to be a fee to open the publications and I do hope that its nominal since it is paper-free, which also means eco-friendly & no smelly perfume samples if they carry the popular women's mags. Ugh. If I want perfume I'll go there and use testers at the mall.
Well guess the jury is still out on the full service version and I'm still waiting to hear MA actually tell the field that it went live!! I bet that they are also "testing" to see who clicks on it without them having to announce it. hehe
