Got My Motives Trend Kits For Gossip Yesterday
Hey! I waited all day yesterday, quite impatiently mind you, for UPS to deliver my package with the new Gossip collection. Deliveries are usually at 1pm for every other day of the year but my little box of goodies didn't arrive until 7pm!! I was freaking out all day too because my last order two weeks ago got trashed so bad that UPS sent it back to MA! A replacement order just shipped out yesterday.
Well let me just say that the new Gossip mineral lipsticks are super fantastic! I demo'd a few at the Motives Trainer class at convention but just the darker ones. They smell delish too with a light vanilla scent that's nice not at all nauseating like fake vanilla candles do to me. I am glad the essential is used, not a synthetic. I was immediately picking out about four colors that I want to order for myself as I lined them up on the kitchen table.
The lipstick tube is shaped differently than the original and actually tapers a bit wider on the top? Not a lot but just enough to notice it in your hand. The shrink wrap label has large enough wording for customers to easily read all of the ingredients, which is cool. None of that slim type that's unreadable like other brands. These are paraben free, talc free but not fragrance free, although its really aromatherapy, with an essential oil.
Well I'm thinking of packing the kit to bring to the Poconos with me to play with. Just need a ton of disposables to keep it clean. Probably just the eye palettes, lipsticks and the oh-so-beautiful eyeliner gels. I don't wear liner that much unless I want to look more put together and go for a brown on the outside corners just to frame the eye. There's an art to applying a liquid liner so I favor using the Motives pressed eyeshadows with a wet brush as a liner, even in place of a pencil. This eyeliner gel may change that since the consistancy of the product just glides on with the new angle brush. I really can't wait to try all of the colors, especially Paparazzi--the purple & my all-time favorite color. Martini Mineral Parties are going to be a big hit with this line!
Many of the big brands are launching their fall collections now and I've been observing their color palettes with links on the beauty blogs. So far MAC & Laura Mercier both have a Cherry theme. MAC's Cult of Cherry looks very dark Gothic & the promo I saw at the mall store was kinda scary looking, not alluring at all, and the Mercier Cherries Noir says its retro-40's but still reminds me of Goth. Yet I guess you could say that the Gossip collection can go Goth too since we offer deep colors. Its all in the application for that, although Divalicious is like a juicy iridescent black cherry tone that shows up beautifully. Gotta play with everything! hehe
Let's see if I can upload the photo I took when I first got the collection and laid it out on the table, hibiscus table cloth and all. hehe

Lovely! I love the pink shades lipsticks. I must buy one of that.
