My Observations About Marketing & High End Beauty Products

Its recently come to my attention that our latest skincare collection Cellular Labs has some big competition from the high end department store beauty lines. Just knowing our SRP (suggested retail price) versus their incredibly marked up SRP astonishes me! The Cellular Labs Re-birth Serum and De-Aging Creme are a total of $170 for the two from Market America while this other line is $200 for the serum & $400 for the cream in the exact same packaging!!

Now I'm not sure on all of the competitors ingredients, because they don't let you view them in entirety online but I know of other consultants have actually bought their stuff just to verify the ingredient list. You only can read it if you have the box! Why is that? MA posts everything, some things are still being uploaded with new demo videos being made to give even more information to the consumer.

And from what I see online at Saks the beauty benefits are kinda lame too. How does this stuff sell at such a high price? Those beauty counter sales reps must be great at "selling". The cream listing only shows the same key ingredients we offer Promatryx & Hydranox, I guess we just don't have the advertising or marketing budget that they do since Market America partners directly with the manufacturers.

Here's a link so you can see for yourself & compare the two brands:

Now if you're thinking that we've got "cheap knock off" products guess again!! If its with Market America you can be assured that company policy is to create the top quality-lowest priced-market driven product in the science backed or research based therapeutic dosage or combinations. MA has a very strict Quality Control department that samples every batch of product for purity. They've even tossed whole shipments of product when the specs weren't up to par!!

Back to the Cellular Labs skincare topic, this duo has been out since last year's August convention and I've noticed that MA has claims stating that our Re-birth Serum
"contains the world’s first patent pending synthetic growth hormone to help effectively reverse skin aging."-quoted from the website. I wonder if we were out with our brand before the 3Lab collection? And are they the manufacturer or just a cosmetics company that ordered the same product?? Hmm, if you know please help me out here. I'd love to know.

We've also seen LaMer or is it LaPrairie with similar skincare too in the same price range. I can't go around exploring every product that's similar and waste time but its nice to know that we've got hot items and at such a great deal. I can't wait for the day when the woman next to me at the mall says "hey let's see what Market America has that stuff priced at for their customers". We'll be the site to find whatever they're looking for and Google will have the price comparison tool built for us to impliment.......and then we'll be the Internet Retailer of the millenia!!

UPDATE 2/28:
I also found a recent article about the report on Lead in Lipstick from CSC being dismissed by the California District Attorney, its amazing how this stuff gets into the courts to be settled.
