Unfortunately I Found The "April Fool" Yesterday
I really did not need to get my truck wrecked yesterday. Some fool ran his stop sign out of a parking lot, mind you, at a train station and tried to dash across to a side street infront of my SUV as I crossed over the tracks. The gate lights or bells were not even on because as it turns out the next train was a slow construction/freighter type train. His poor judgement got us into a collision right there at the train crossing. Thankfully we really didn't get mangled but I'm feeling the hurtin' today, especially in my upper back and neck. Great way to start the month eh?
He was an older driver, someone's great-grandpa I'm sure. Since I hit the rear wheel area on the passenger side the airbags hurt him more than the impact. Did he think I was going to stop on the tracks so that he could scoot by? Even though it was damp & overcast I know he saw me coming, I even had my lights on at 10:30 in the morning. I'm just glad he didn't end up wacking a pole, that woulda hurt. My truck had to be towed because the right front fender was into the tire. I'll see if my cell pix can get imported here. He drove away with a broken rear axle. I wonder how far he got?
So today was doctor day for me. Got x-rays, lots of paperwork for No-Fault and a once over. Tomorrow is a follow up appt. for that and I know there's gonna be some kinda injury because I feel my upper back and neck strained or something, & I get a pain down my right arm every now and then. Ugh.
Gotta get over this injury and not let it side track me, I've got work to do! And I have to do up some Motives & skincare baskets and stuff to market for Mother's Day. That Motives Challenge time is passing by quickly too. I only have 3 months to get it done besides my next set of Motives Trainings.
I betcha its gonna be so busy these next couple of weeks. There are a lot of festivals and fairs showing up but I have to be chosey and pick good themes, not flea markets, and in areas that have some disposable income. Don't wanna compete with the Avon or MK crowd. Our service & product is more selective since its makeup artistry and marketing together.
Gotta go lie down I've been upright all day and I need an icepack or ibuprofen...maybe both at this point.
