Yesterday I Did Some CyberMonday Shopping with MA.com

I started my CyberMonday shopping early but didn't actually buy until after the kids were in bed. All throughout the day I'd get more emails from companies I like with sale promos. I did a lot of comparison shopping at Walmart, Sears, Kohls, Target, Toys R Us & KB Toys---BTW, eToys is the same as KB, so I discovered with all of those windows open over the course of the day.

Some of our girls' Wish List items were on sale here and there but there were issues to figure out, like shipping costs, the item being in stock and the estimated delivery times. Target had several of my items to be delivered AFTER Christmas, which bites, so I only ordered things I could get on time and other non-essentails for my older daughter's January birthday will arrive after the holiday. There's not much left after the Christmas sales for me to get for her New Year birthday so I have to double shop for her, unless I want returned or clearance gifts. Ugh. Nothing's better than a ripped or mutilated box for a present, right?

Some of the purchases I made were from Toys R Us, Target, Spencer's and Cabela's. Toys R Us was the only one with a Hannah Montana Tour Bus. Found it by mistake while browsing, then forgot where I saw it, then rediscovered it & a Cheetah Girls one there too. I only liked the Hannah one. The Walmart sale extends thru the week so I wasn't in a rush to order and I have lists at Sears & Kohl's to add to. They're both great for kid's pj's and nicer tops at a good price, just gotta get my list out and sort thru it all. They also have good gadgets too.

I also visited Linens N Things, Best Buy, Circuit City, Staples, American Eagle, Macy's, and several others that I have noted. Can't wait for the new Mariah Carey DVD set to come out exclusively at Best Buy in mid-December. I went to her NY concert last summer with our oldest daughter and a family friend and this set will be an awesome present for them....and me!

There are a few websites for discount & coupon codes that I've been meaning to visit. CouponMountain, CurrentCodes, TigerDirect and a few more, have the latest deals and codes for special savings. I'll post a live link if I like them and find it worth the savings.

Lots to do......I may actually go out to a regular store today. All weekend I avoided the Black Friday crowds, I used to like that stuff when I was a teenager and twentysomething. Now that I'm in my forties and can shop online with my own webportal....I can still get a great deal without the stress and get paid from my business to shop too. That's something the malls & Amazon don't do.

Shop now at MarketAmerica.com

Update: The coupon sites are worth checking out. I liked www.couponmountain.com its very much like the Market America Partner Directory, only with codes and offers that redirect you to the store. Gotta remember to close that new window then re-open it from my portal to keep the sale thru MA. www.couponcabin.com was okay and so was www.currentcodes.com but the TigerDirect is just for electronics shopping not coupons.

I'm letting everyone know about the possible extra savings with emails and hopefully they'll let me know if its made a difference in their holiday budget. Maybe I'll share some examples later on the blog, ttyl!!
