I Actually Watched The Contender & Have More Bad News

I waited through the other 3 matches for the match with Jaidon & Sakio on the Contender's finale. I also was switching over to the JLo mini-series on Univision.....two things at the same time! Ugh. SO....since I don't know Spanish I kept the boxing match on without the volume most of the time while I played on the laptop and got the girls to bed.

The MA logo was right on the back of Jaidon's robe and across his butt on the shorts. There were a few good views of it while he was fighting and a few closeups while he was on the ropes or in the corner. Man those guys really sock it out. It was more fun than I thought and now the news is covering interviews with the guys. ESPN had a short video with an article about Jaidon & he thanked Market America for the vitamins that gave him strength. I was like "Yeah!!!" when I heard that. Way to go Jaidon!

There's a link to the story and a quote:
"I had a great strength and conditioning camp," Codrington (pictured right) said during an interview after the match which was broadcast live to over 20 million viewers on ESPN. "Market America provided some of the great vitamins that I used and made me so much stronger than I have been in the past."

Next week is something on Telemundo for boxing again.

The rest of the past week has been way too stressful with us trying to figure out if we'll stay in NY or really move down to North Carolina when the house sells........whenever that is. We didn't get an agent yet and will stick it out until late Winter until we'll do that. Either way we have to make a plan A & plan B to implement when the time comes. We may even need a plan C!! The saying goes: "People don't plan to fail, they just fail to plan." Needless to say I haven't been in the mood to blog with that going on.

Then while eating dinner Wednesday we got a call saying that another friend unexpectedly died. He's the youngest of three brothers that own our favorite restaurant, Wickers. Last year was hard enough when John died while visiting his daughter away at school in Italy last October. I think John was 54 & Vinny was about 50. Tonight is the wake for him, I don't look forward to seeing their family. It must be devastating to lose another father figure & I know he's got two kids, both under 12. Can't blame the family if they end up closing the restaurant. The people that were there said he was laughing one second and then passed out cold and the EMT's couldn't revive him, he was gone too quickly. That's the 5th death this year in our group of friends, not counting the bus victim infront of our shop last month.

My hubby is so freaked out, he just saw him the day before for a business lunch. Now he's saying that he doesn't want to die at work like our friend. Maybe now he'll actually make the changes he's been talking about all year & stick to them. His diet is better but alcoholic drinks are giving him headaches so were starting a NutriClean 7 Day Cleanse for his liver & flush out his system which he's put off several days now. He is having trouble imagining a whole week without red meat & Long Island Iced Teas........but its gotta get done to be done right. hehe

I do have more to jot down but maybe I'll leave that for later or tomorrow.
