I Learned Something Powerful About MLM vs. The UnFranchise Plan

While surfing the web this afternoon, I came across some info about MA's UnFranchise pay plan versus the MLM plan of Quixtar. At a distributor's meeting with a prospect the Market America weekly binary plan was compared side-by-side with their distributor doing the math for his company's Multi-Level Marketing plan. And the numbers were an eye-opener! (I wonder how many sales organizations they have to juggle in that company? MLM's need around 5 or 6 legs, and I've never seen their plan which is why this article fascinated me.)

I've heard before that the "Q" company leaders make money on their tools that they create for their team of distributors or IBO's(Independent Business Owners?) as a secondary(or primary!) income to the compensation plan but I didn't realize how heavily those leaders count on that income to keep their status as Diamonds and Silvers or whatever.

The tools for the UnFranchise are not created privately by distributors and we are actually not permitted to have unapproved tools, thus creating the standardization and systemization similar to a "franchise". When MA has business building tools usually in the form of audios, DVDs or booklets from the field leaders, they are made by MA and available to everyone at a set price by the company and are not a requirement to purchase. Some tools even earn a little BV, "business volume" which are the points we get paid on. Hec, they even mail us a 3 pc quarterly CD set to help us learn more that's included as part of our annual subscription.

I remember when that particular company getting into hot water for money-making claims a year or so ago, they even made the news for it. That's a distributor's responsibility to be careful with income claims. We're not allowed to wave checks around in network marketing. Just think....when was the last time someone asked a professional recruiter for a corporation or sales rep for Clinique at Macy's what their last paycheck was. Its just rude but I do understand people wanting to know how successful the distributor they're speaking with truly is, which is why we have titles based on earned income levels, not the organization size or number of personally sponsored.

After that fiasco some of their people left and either dropped the industry altogether or found new companies, like MA, since their IBO website was somewhat like ours with e-commerce & brand name partners. The article also discussed how we are more customer-oriented. We do use the train of thought, "you are your best customer" & "be a product of the product" it makes distributors learn the product too. You can't sell what you don't know. Sure, the UnFranchise pay plan compensates UFO's(UnFranchise Owners) for that product along with shopping the collection of a thousand plus partners but those points are a pay plan extension for a secondary income. In the end consumers are what creates the majority of sales volume and new prospects.

THIS....is what amazed me in the article: The number of active IBO's in the example was 600 for a Diamond to earn an income of over $250,000 which I think was an annual number. While in comparison the UnFranchise plan with 600 active distributors would bring in an estimated $760,000 plus a year with similar volume calculations!! Wow!!! That's an monumental difference in residuals. I can't imagine the MLM end of the month reset of volume too, that would stress me out! As long as a UFO does their requirements, there's a YEAR to get paid on the accumulated volume. AND thanks to an innovative management system it allows us to see the daily volume in place to help us leverage the payouts. We can see who's close to cutting a check and strategically place an order to get the most people paid......and ourselves, at 100% of the same volume's value.

Besides actual one-to-one presentations, we really need a recruiting website or link to get this info on the web, because even when people think they understand our plan while evaluating it they still need to see it several more times to get all the angles. Seeing the UnFranchise MPCP online is possible but its needs explaining, some aspects like the BV placement, secondary IBV and Re-entry option to own more centers gets incredibly complex. And what was there ten-fifteen years ago has been streamlined now so even former distributors have to re-examine the plan. I have my MPCP link off, its too confusing to someone that's not understanding network marketing pay plans. I think a walk-thru type video like our DVD would be a better presentation of the UnFranchise. Organization diagrams and MA's terminology may turn off a newbie that's a good possibility without narration & feedback for questions.

Let's see what MA comes up with that can truly showcase the UnFranchise as the innovative business opportunity of the new millenia that it really has grown to become..........

I was wondering if you have the link to the article you found? Also, you mentioned you have your MPCP link turned off. Where is that?

    Thanks,
    Sande

Hi Sande, Great to hear from you. I read that on another distributor blog and will look it up for you. I printed it off but may have the URL written down too. As for the MPCP link, its located on the homepage "AboutMA' tab, our compensation plan is there by default unless you go into your webportal management and elect to only have the corporate info shown instead. I'll email you the info on the blog if I find it. Take care, Lisa
