We just got in from a great weekend trip upstate to the Catskills. I said we needed a break from the stress and that fresh mountain air was refreshing. My hubby got in two games of golf with his buddies so he's happy about that. The girls came with us and trotted around to a Cauliflower Festival in Margaretville, a flea market and took the vintage train ride in Arkville. That went longer than we expected and traveled all the way up to Roxbury. It was attached to the dining cars too so the party there made it a slow trek, but then on the way back we booked at like 50mph back to the station.

If you're ever up there check out the mountain top resort we were at www.hanahcountryclub.com, its owned by a Japanese gentleman and has come to be well known for the golf and gourmet meals. We've been going there at least 7 or 8 yrs now and used to stay at the original old rickety motel by the roadside while the resort at the top of the mountain was being designed & constructed. Very nice place but still not much for kids to do, except for the indoor pool.

I forgot to post an update on last week's Motives Trend Kit night that I held! As expected a few ladies couldn't make it at the last minute but we had a few guests and only two distributors so I got to do my presentation. One friend came without any makeup and I did a full makeup on her. She was eager to jump into the director chair and was an easy colormatch Custom Blend. Even made a few sales and even had some product for them to take home.

Next I must mail out the promo for the makeup artist pro that I'm working with. He's excited to start doing consults with me so I must book the night with lots of women. He loved the flyer that I made up. I can do the makeup but am still working on my closing and need to lead the events more effectively.
