The time is approaching fast for Convention!! I must decide whether or not I'll be attending, I don't have a ticket yet and I'd prefer a Gala ticket because I like to hear the State of the Company address by JR but its sold out! Need to ask around for any extras. The Trade Show is at this and only this event with reps from the manufacturers or the folks themselves for demos and questions from the field. That's always great to check out. And this year promises to be even greater than Leadership School earlier this year in Miami with Hulk Hogan and the video messages from J Lo & Marc, because their products should debut!! The Latin market is so ripe for something like that now.

I certainly hope they launch the celeb products and a publicity campaign to go with them. The last issue of Powerline, our company magazine, had the Hulkster's powdered energy packet for adding to water bottles on the back cover, so that must be ready to roll. Can't wait to find out what marketing tools we'll have. They only came out with a website for Ashanti's Beauty Blend but I personally would've loved to had a flyer or brochure to hand out. That would sell to the younger crowd-Generation Y, and some Gen-Xer's too, fans like that stuff.

It would be totally awesome for Jennifer Lopez to come out with something too, the rumor is cosmetics aimed at Latinas. The intro of product with her name would send Market America into the stratosphere!! Anything she does has lots of notoriety, even when she's not doing anything her face is in mags or online. For instance, our local news website had her same photo in the celeb news box for the entire month! And any beauty mag I get has her in there for fashion reports or a beauty example. She's a good role model too at the recent Puerto Rican Day Parade suprise appearance in NYC, while keeping out of trouble and retaining her privacy--not like those Hollywood party girls. And now she's even dropping the "J Lo" nickname.

Gotta make my decision now....if I fly down to Charlotte it can be under $99 each way and just be a car rental and two hour drive to Greensboro to catch up with our team. And if I'm there for Wednesday, a day early, then I can get the scoop firsthand about Motives and anything new in that division with more details than during rest of the event. Lots to think about, especially who's watching the girls. Or another option would be to have the family come down too and stay in Charlotte with the in-laws for a few days...I must decide before the week is up!!
