I've been getting back into Motives Cosmetics again, seems like I was avoiding the requests I've had for Custom Blends and consultations. Actually, I really did blow some people off because my heart was not into it. How can I do good work if I'm not mentally there as a makeup artist*. Color suggestions and technique are important to a successful consult, as is being quick to recommend products or application tips.

Lately I've been kicking around some Summer makeup tips and should share a few here like I did for Winter. My beauty regimen has changed too, so I see how much less I've been using due to the humidity and hotter temps. Even my skincare has been less complex thanks to the Timeless Prescription Acne System keeping that under control. My breakouts are so much better and my skin texture is nice too. I had Graduation cake the other day and started getting a few pimples again so I just made sure that I did my nightly cleansing and application of Simplexion before bed. I forgot to order a new Alpha Hydroxy Peel.....that makes my skin really supple and quickly gets rid of bumpiness and need to activate a vial of VitaShield OPC-3 Triple Serum for a new broken capillary on my right cheek.

Perhaps the biggest tip I could say now is to put the lipstick away, that's right! I took mine out of my purse so that it won't melt in the hotter temps---that would be such a mess in my bag too, yuk. Have you ever had a favorite tube of lipstick do that? I have when we went boating and it just cooked in the cabin, they say to just freeze it to firm it up but its never the same after that. I have glosses in my bag now, one is the Motives Lip Gel in Morocco and the other is Lip Shine in Sweet Pea. The Lip Gel collection is being discontinued, I see that there's only one left online, this one! I wonder what else Motives will come out with? I'm not big on the Lip Pots because I don't like a finger in there and then the sticky gloss on my finger when I'm done with no tissue in sight!

Okay, time to make a new document and collect those summer ideas....later!
