Dispelling Rumors About Lead In Motives Lipstick

I've been hearing for over 3 years about the email telling the world about lipstick with lead. Our brand Motives was falsely listed as one of the evil do-ers. Could you imagine if there was something like that in lipstick?? How many lawsuits would there be to all of those big brand names for lead poisoning, oh please!! I wish I kept one of those old emails just to count how many times it was forwarded. Please understand that this is untrue if you've ever heard or seen this rumor.

Our Motives Dept. issued a statement a long time ago but should've posted something for people to pull up on a search when they try to look it up. The funny thing about it is that our brand name is now misspelled, the latest email calls us "MOTNES". I've seen it in several languages too on the Groups for Google. If I can find MA's notice I'll post it here but it may be long gone.

Look at Snopes, the greatest online resource for finding out the truth of emails that are forwarded, even the ones about child abductions. I was amazed to see some of those were lies....as old as the first computer I bought!
