Getting Back to Business After NC Trip
Driving down to North Carolina this past weekend took a lot out of us! I don't know how people drive for a living, like truckers or bus drivers, its exhausting and is not good for your body, especially the lower back and behind. We did it though, with kids. I had a family party to attend for my niece in Charlotte and we had to empty my son's stuff out of his apartment in Statesville since the lease is up since he's graduated and back in NY already.
We didn't get to do any sight seeing, there was no time for it and my hubby was dying to play golf with his brothers. His youngest brother has his PGA card and can get into the nicer courses, now they want to plan a trip to Myrtle Beach before the season starts up North. We'll see what airfare and hotels are like.
As for Market America, my husband made a good connection with an herbalist that rented us the U-Haul trailer, yeah she's a multi-tasker, lol. She's very interested in speaking with me about the drinkable vitamins, Isotonix, and bringing supplements to doctors. He didn't get her name but she gave him a flyer and Gogi newsletter, so I guess she's into direct sales already which is a good thing.
Today is my first day in the office since we got back at 4:30 am, and I mean early Monday morning at that hour. Monday was a blurr, at least I unpacked the coolers and suitcases. I have one customer to follow up with from last week and another reorder waiting to get processed. I got a new delivery yesterday with more Mall Talk catalogs so I can send them copies. I ran out of them last week and must also give Motives catalogs to everyone for the challenge.
I also got my Motives kit back last night, so I can set some appointments up. A nice local couple have a good prospect that's in the evaluation process and borrowed my silver box while I was away to show her the collection. She had told them that she just wanted quality skincare since she's a stylist, but lit up when they opened up the Motives kit. Thank goodness the start up for Motives is better and less expensive these days (under $500), not too long ago--about two years--the kits were way too pricey for someone new at around $800 plus the Custom Blend foundation kit--which has also been downsized to about a third of the original cost.
As I learn more about the other direct sales and MLM companies out there, I can't believe how they get people to take out small loans just to get started with a load of "inventory", if we had to do that when we got started we would've said forget it! MA is a smart investment, always getting better and affordable for the average home business entrepreneur. Its almost a no-brainer for $99.95 to be a distributor and get a website that comes with e-commerce (since Leadership in Miami last month), they just need to focus on a specialty and qualify with a few bottles of supplements and they're ready for business!
So much to get busy with, maybe I'll write more later...
