Ever Wonder What One-to-One Marketing Means?

I had to explain One-to-One Marketing over the weekend to a prospect for the UnFranchise opportunity. Its really nothing new in business. Just the terminology to clarify the concept is new to most people. Market America focuses on this Customer Relationship Management (CRM) technique to give us an edge for implementing solution based marketing to customers, which is especially useful for internet follow up.

To define it best I'd say its about personalizing business, much like a storefront small business owner that knows his customers in town. If he is familiar with the lives of his customer, their family, occupation and happenings, it helps that small business owner understand what he should offer to that specific customer. One to One Marketing targets a customer's interests and needs, that way the business owner or sales rep can offer the best advice to get a customer what they are looking for.

One to One Marketing is a direct opposite to Mass Marketing. Instead of making something and then selling it to everyone, creating a need for general appeal, the use of "1 to 1" can focus on creating products that customers want and then providing it for them based on their specifications. That's why interaction and feedback from the field along with surveys is so important.

Customized products are a result of this data gathering and Market America has cultivated several products from surveying our database and finding or developing what people want, like the Isotonix Custom Cocktail supplement formulation, the Gene SNP nutritional analysis for the laser approach to nutritional support, small business websites, and my favorite---the Motives Custom Blend Foundation, that is made on-the-spot for every light or dark skin tone.

Even though we are a combination of internet and direct sales, its amazing how many distributors don't take advantage of the chance to implement One to One Marketing in person, by phone or even via email. Its okay to care about people, even in business, just learn the difference between learning about the customer and being nosy or invasive. I learned a lot from a business coach Joanna Brandi, www.customercarecoach.com, her books and newsletters gave me the  basics to "dare to care"(--her line). I found her info priceless and recommend her highly. And to learn more about One to One Marketing check out www.1to1.com for industry info from expert analysists.

What's that saying? People don't care about what you say until they realize how much you really care about them. If I find the actual proverb or quote I'll post it.......unless someone else out there can share it with me?

That's all for now, I'm late for getting our little girl ready for preschool..............
