Sharing Our Plans With Friends To Move

Its so funny how some people react to the mention of lifechanges. My husband and I have been gradually telling close friends that we intend to sell our home and move possibly to Eastern Suffolk. A few are excited because they already live in the area in Mid-Suffolk which is where we are looking, the "East End" is really the Hamptons or North Fork of Long Island, that is way too far and more money. They are glad to assist with househunting and will keep an eye out for possibilities. While other friends are saying to stay local or stick it out or just leave NY altogether. Its a matter of the cons outweighing the pros, and now a sorting issue for a new home.

I do have to say that ALL of them are encouraging me to go for the Motives Challenge and to even go for being a Trainer. We've analyzed how well I know Market America's products, am good at makeup and have opened up over the years. I still need the particulars but have read the requirements and they would kick me into building mode.

Today I called up an old friend for help that used to work at the salon I went to for years....until the "punk rocker" days kinda matured for me. I really need a hair makeover and I'm not having any luck with finding a good style that's what I really want and I know she's a pro. For me to have messy or overgrown hair and do Motives is a definite no-no. My new additions to my work wardrobe won't go with hairclips and an unmanageable mane.

We had run into each other as I walked by her job location with our youngest daughter earlier in the year, or was it last year?, and we had a short catchup conversation. Mind you that day was a typical "Mom" day, I was out running errands with no makeup on, wild unkept hair, getting over a cold and possibly wearing a sloppy jog set and there she is looking glamourous as usual. This woman always looked well put together, always, I don't ever remember her looking any other way, but then she is in the beauty industry.

She can help me update my look with some tips and maybe even like what I'm doing too. I've met a few salon owners and makeup artists that do our business for the same reasons we got started and we're in auto repair.....there aren't any retirement plans for a typical small business owner so we work this business part-time as a "Plan B" for long term investments purposes and I bet she has the same concerns. The key is to build it solid in the beginning and manage it for a lifetime of income.

I need to run some office errands now..........and get a new dateplanner, to set dates for success! Now what's that old saying?? "A Wish is a Dream without a Plan but a Goal is a Dream with a Plan" or something like that.
