Positive Programming for the New Year

Time to put new positive info into my brain and get into business mode. I'm finishing my last book on skincare by Dr. Denese, her title is "Secrets for Ageless Skin" which has greatly detailed info about how skin ages and what research based ingredients really work to help maintain, treat and repair in the marketplace. She is so fed up with the cosmetics industry hype too and I appreciate her professional analysis of it and their marketing.

I learned a lot from the doctor and enjoyed reading about her own experiences growing up watching her family create their own creams which led her to pursue the antiaging formulations that she has. Market America is very much in tune with her and has many of the products that she recommends in the proper quality and dosages of the effective ingredients. We just need a microderm abrasion cream in Timeless Rx to finish off the program and its available in the 3 Step Acne System. I hope to get it separately and not just in the little bottle that's currently produced in the kit and in a tube dispenser since its a thick cream with particles.

Last night I watched a movie based on a favorite book of mine, The Celestine Prophecy. Its a fascinating story about the awareness of the earth's energies and how we interact with each others' energies. Some people take it, depleting those around them and make power struggles, while others give it freely which is the healing and uplifting way to experience and share this energy. Auras are key to determining what's happening. Now I want to read the follow up book again just to pick up where the movie left off, its been many years since I read the series.

Also I recently watched a short DVD and mini-book that accompanies the video called "212 degrees". Its an inspirational set that reminds me of the calendars with amazing landscapes and natural photos with a thought provoking quote on it. The focus is on that one extra bit of energy or effort to make things happen for goals and ambitions and is the difference between people who try and people who do. I shared a copy at our local holiday party last month.

Next I plan to load up my dateplanner with any events that I have dates for and set some short and long term goals for the year too. I think that going for the Motives Challenge will be a great way for me to focus my efforts and hone my skills even if I don't take on the goal to be a trainer. Although the more I think about it, the more my mind can visualize the future in detail. I'd also have a timeframe to achieve certain requirements which is what makes things happen in a reasonable amount of time, in increments that can be measured, monitored and adjusted.

At least my hubby is being more helpful. He struck up a few conversations with people recently about our business...my business as he puts it. One example was an old friend from softball games that he used to play when his knees were in better shape and they guy remembered that I was "doing something" and was I still "doing it". Another conversation happened yesterday with a customer at the shop who's a Quixtar distributor. He's gonna look at our website to check out what Ron was insisting was much better and that they probably tried to copy us-LOL. I saw a site of theirs recently and its very similar but we simplified the homepage more and focused on our products more I think. Maybe our binary payplan will get his curiosity. Ya never know...

Gotta go do some errands and get the little one to Pre-K.
