Its almost a year of blogging and I think I'm on target with my original goals to share my experiences, product info and the things that happen with Market America. This site is still relatively unknown, I haven't gotten any comments and my stats are very uneventful. Some bloggers say how these sites are vital to personalizing business and make lots of money with links and Adsense clicks....I like to have more of a journal, than a billboard.

I've had several major life choices come at me within the last week and am truly at a threshold in my life, which I really hope is a springboard.......not a divingboard. Still getting over my cold and this stuff is going on. The big question is..."do we move South or stay on the Island and go East?" and go so far from everything I've ever known besides being colder out East. Nassau County is very congested yet its got everything within a few traffic lights one way or the other; while Suffolk, especially Eastern Suffolk, is quite sparse and rural. Ron will have to commute to the shop about an hour or more, versus 5 minutes, but its a challenge we have to deal with. We've been in the same house for 15 yrs and just have to downsize, in more ways than one. I think the hardest parts will be the distance between some really dear friends that we see all the time and making it on time to the Market America briefings and trainings.

Another issue I am wrestling with is an offer from our NY Motives Trainer. I'm just one clinic away from my Senior Consultant requirements and will get that done after New Year, so we will get together for my paperwork soon. She offered to guide me for the Motives Challenge, which has a fast approaching deadline, and to possibly mentor me to be the new Long Island Motives Trainer!! There isn't one now, nor has there been for the past 5 or so years on LI, she's been it for the Metro area.

It's so tempting. I don't have the experience yet to speak as a teacher and there's so much that I don't know, so how could I even consider it? Yet, I would love to be more involved with creating the system we need to support growth and foster knowledge. The Certified Trainer program at corporate would also be required. There must be other people that she's offering this to, hopefully I'm not the only one worth mentoring, I have heard that she's grooming someone else for the Queens/Brooklyn area. 

Basically, I would have to be her "shadow" for the coming year and assist with every event. And to sell & move our family within that same timeframe is a colossal thing to take on, especially from further away. I did say previously that I plan to expand in the coming year but I meant more new business partners, not more responsibilities. Guess they go hand and hand. That's why they say be careful what you wish for, I need three wishes first to make my mistakes, then get the last one right. LOL

My mind is heavy and my heart is feeling the pains of the coming changes already. Don't even know if going to Miami will be a reality either. I may have to sell my ticket and miss out on Leadership School...maybe if I make some strides with Motives and recruit some people into my organization in January, it can still happen...I think its vital to any serious UnFranchise owner to attend. Its like hearing someone tell you about a play or musical performance, sometimes you just gotta be there to get it. Let's hope I can "make it happen"....rather soon.
