Motives Catalogs & More
Hey everyone,
The long awaited catalogs for Motives finally came in!! They are excellent and showcase the products and colors remarkably well. The photos are of the actual cakes of eyeshadow crumbled and there are swirls of lip product and pencils. I am really impressed by the entire format. Looks like Motives has gotten an image consultant!!
Anyhow, great things are happening for me too, with Motives being a key part. I took in another Advanced Motives training and learned many new techniques and ideas for better consults. The inspirational day actually got me realizing that I need to expand my business and find a new partner to work the Motives Custom Cosmetics with to create momentum.
Since NY, more specifically Long Island, doesn't have any Motives Presentations happening I thought we'd start with a home based version to learn the material. If there was a local consultant with some cosmetics sales experience it would just multiply our efforts. None of the folks here have that experience, myself included.
So, the local leadership got wind of our attempt to do the home presentation and quickly phoned to request our presence at the next "hotel" business meeting and do it there!! YIKES!! We're talking "speaking in public" and in front of the room with a make up application and business overview. At least my associate is feeling up to the challenge too, the both of us are too shy but understand that this "chance" is bigger than us and our insecurities. Its so funny, in a really strange way, as soon as we said that someday we'd be up infront of the room--the call came right to my house with the opportunity to do so.
The greatest thing about having the chance to present the Motives line and opportunity is that we know it, use it and promote it, now we can share it with the local team mates that haven't seen or even tried our own products. I've always used our product lines and avoided purchasing from elsewhere when I can get from my own business. And after eight years as a MA distributor, only these last four years have been productive since I started building instead of just being a customer, and for almost a year now Motives has helped me focus my skills and utilize my practically forgotten art background.
I just hope that I can be dependable and on time for the presentations, my life has always been in a whirlwind and time schedules never were a reality. Planning out the days and weeks ahead is a challenge but always unpredictable once the actual time comes for appts. and events. Never a dull moment, you could say.
